As some of you may or may not know, my hard drive crashed last week leading to me losing everything on my computer. Upsetting to say the least. The next few week are going to be extremely busy as I am writing my last exams of my undergrad, finalizing details of my trips, packing up my room at school and moving out. I will likely not be able to post as regularly but hopefully I will still be able to get some stuff up once in a while. Anyways, I just wanted to post some photos that I've taken in the last little while.

I think about getting my own place a lot. A place I can decorate however I want. A place I can dance around in and cook delicious food and eat takeout pizza/chinese/fried chicken. A place where I can wrestle with my puppies (yes multiple; my mom is terrified of dogs so its not an option at my parents' house) A place where I can sleep in till noon (or go to sleep at noon)... A place I can call my own.

Designs that inspire and make me think of how I will one day make my place my own.

This last one is one of my favourites

New York Walking Tour Part IV

My last post on New York. (sad...)

So. My one purchase goal for this trip was to purchase a pair of Michael Kors shoes (that ended up being sold out everywhere) so we headed to Soho to the Michael Kors store. It was a beautiful day and was just perfect for walking around in Soho. There's so many cute little boutiques and I love the whole environment of the area.

We had lunch at this delicious restaurant in the area called Boqueria. The ambiance was wonderful and the food was delightful. It was the perfect place for lunch with Tapas, fresh sandwiches with cured meats. (my mouth is watering as I am typing this)

After Soho we went back to midtown to prepare to leave :( We stopped by Dean & Deluca next to the New York Times building for a quick snack.

Day 3: We walked by Times Square first and then.. 5th Avenue!!! What more do I need to say? Chanel, YSL, Henri Blendel, Bergdorf's, FAO Schwarz, what more do I need to say? :)

Dinner at Joe's Shanghai. We had Pan Fried Dumplings, 2 orders of their Soup Filled Dumplings and a noodle dish. Pan Fried Dumplings were mediocre but the Soup Filled Dumplings were so delicious. They were huge and were filled with a good amount of hot soup which is always a good indication of quality dumplings.

Puppy Playday

I have more NYC pictures but I thought I would take a little break and post some pictures of my bf's and my dog and my boyfriend's family's dog. Introducing: Noël and Cinnamon. The weather was beautiful over the weekend when I came back from New York so we took the dogs to the park to let them run around.

Cinnamon loves to play fetch and Noël doesn't really understand the concept of the game but she does love chasing Cinnamon around so we would throw the ball, Cinnamon would go chasing for the ball and Noël would just happily run behind Cinnamon, thinking it was a game of chase.

New York Walking Tour Part II

Day 2 was spent walking around the Financial District and the Meatpacking District. If you get a chance to stop by Wall Street, definitely check out the Tiffany's store. It is absolutely beautiful and definitely surpasses the 5th Avenue store. The decor is breathtaking and its like you are walking into a fantasy-land. I wasn't able to take a picture but... take my word for it? I hope you all don't get tired of seeing my New York photos!

I so nearly caved and bought a McQueen skull scarf while I was there. The store was so amazing and was everything I imagined it to be. The shoes were so unique. If I could afford it I would definitely drop some money there for a pair of shoes.

The most beautiful masterpiece was placed in the foyer of the Anthropologie store in Soho. This dress was so magnificent and took my breath away the moment I saw it.

We originally missed the main entrance to the Balenciaga store so I somehow managed to find myself at the front doors to the Balenciaga office. I even peeked inside!

It was quite chilly/windy while I was in New York so I mainly stuck to layers. New York Walking Tour Part I

I sincerely apologize for the long delay since my last post! Life has been crazy hectic. I came back from New York, crammed in seeing friends as much as a could and am now back at school for my FINAL semester of my undergrad. I want to thank Alicia of Cheetah is the New Black for kicking me back into gear! I have so many upcoming posts with a LOT of photos from New York. I'm going to separate them into days as I took so many photographs and I'd love to share them with everyone!

New York was absolutely amazing. So many people talk about the energy of the city but its honestly true. The moment you step onto the island of Manhattan, you are in a world of wonder. Everything is so full of energy and is so exciting. I am in love with the city - without a doubt.

The first day was spent walking around East/West Village. We walked around the NYU campus a little bit and browsed along Bleecker Street while checking out some of the smaller, more unique areas and little neighbourhoods.

I admit that this trip was a bit of a foodie trip. Welcome to Max Brenners. If you are a dessert/chocolate lover, welcome, you have entered heaven. You can get all these unique chocolate concoctions. For example, I had a Hot Chocolate with Chocolate Wafer Balls. It was like hot chocolate with Maltesars. So delicious. I also got the Warm Chocolate Heart Cake and my boyfriend got the Chocolate Fondue with Churros.

This is Minca. Its in the East Village and honestly the BEST ramen you will ever find. You can definitely NOT get anything remotely like this in Toronto and I have been dreaming of going back there every since I had it. The broth is soo flavorful and delicious and thick. I got the Basic Shoyu (top picture) It was salty and garlicky one. The pork was soo tender and meaty. If you ever get a chance to go I highly HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. The second one was the spicy shoyu which was also fantastic. This was my favourite place that we went to eat at. We came here literally 30 mins after Max Brenners and I still managed to find room in my stomach for another full meal - THAT'S how good it was.

I have soo many more pictures still to put up. This was just the first day and it took me a little while to get me warmed up for photographing around the city. :) I hope these pictures give you a little taste of New York!!

I am finally done exams!! I wrote an exam this morning, drove home to Toronto and am in the midst of packing for New York! I am so exhausted that I can't even keep track of what I've packed but I figure if I forget anything, I'm sure I can easily pick it up there. I don't think I am going to blog while I'm away but definitely look forward to a whole slew of New York posts/photos! :)

Unsatisfied blazer need

I have been on the hunt for the perfect blazer but haven't been able to take the plunge of splurging on one yet.

I came across this Reiss draped Blazer today and I adore it. I think its such a versatile piece, you can wear it over a dress, dress down and wear it with leggings, or go shopping in it with a pair of jeans. ♥

It reminds me of this Wilfred Boyfriend Blazer from Aritzia that I've always loved.

My Mackage Kenya Jacket!

I have been debating long and hard over this jacket but after trying on the jacket in a smaller size, I just fell right heads over heels in love with it. The fit is amazing and I love the motorcycle style of the jacket. The leather is super soft a la Mackage quality. I apologize that the tags are still on the jacket, I'm just not mentally prepared to take them off yet. :) I hope you love the jacket as much as I do!

10 minute shopping trip

My friend had to stop by the mall to go to the grocery store so I tagged along and stopped by H&M for 10 minutes and picked up a dress and a scarf. Great medicine for these long study days.

I also purchased a new leather jacket a couple of days ago and I am currently debating whether or not I should keep it. Its beautiful and I love the style but its definitely a wallet breaker. I think I need a smaller size as well. I'd really appreciate any advice/input/suggestions/comments!!

Quick photography post! Just some pictures I took of Noel after she got drenched in the rain. :) Hopefully I'll have more posts in the next little while but I'm in the midst of finals right now so I haven't had a chance to go out with my camera.

This is a funny picture that my boyfriend took of Noel when she encountered a couple grapefruits hehe. There is also a quick video that I took of her when she was playing with the grapefruit and accidentally bit into it and tasted the bitterness.

More Spring/Summer looks

So I was in the midst of writing a blog post, but I didn't like how it was looking so I'm going to post up some looks for Spring/Summer that I am in love with. I was online shopping (as usual) on Asos and came across these looks that actually made my heart go 'pitter-patter'. Not because they're all amazingly beautiful but because they are versatile, they are definitely looks that I can picture myself incorporating into my wardrobe, and because they fit my personal style.

These are definitely looks that I am keeping in my mind when I am shopping.

look one: This is my ideal summer outfit. The dress and gladiator style sandals are perfect for the day. You can add the jacket to 'roughen' the look up and is also perfect for chilly summer nights. You can dress the outfit up with heels, a blazer and also some nice jewelry.

look two: Another versatile outfit. I love how you can dress this outfit up or down with just your choice of shoes. This is a great outfit to go out shopping or just have a nice day out in the city. You can also make this outfit more casual with a nice pair of flats or gladiator shoes like the ones in the outfit above.

look three: The things I like the most about this outfit are the shoes and the parka. I am definitely on the hunt for a military style parka this season. It definitely 'dresses down' an outfit, making it a little more casual and its also great for chillier days. (I get cold really easily, hence all these references to chilly nights) I also love how unique these shoes are. I don't know if they really fit my style, but I'm always opened to trying something new.

look four: I am really loving big prints on dresses this summer. They're so vibrant and exciting. This is another versatile piece that I think you could easily dress up or down depending on your mood and occasion. I also really like the black ankle boots as they make the whole outfit a little more unique.

Leather jackets

I've been wanting to do a post about leather jackets since last fall, but never got around to really doing it. I was briefly talking a friend about leather jackets today so today seemed to be the perfect day for this post. The time for leather jackets is slowly coming to a close as we are heading into Spring/Summer but I am definitely going to still be wearing one on chilly evenings. I love the versatility of leather jackets. You can wear them with dresses, a nice top or a hoodie - basically anything that suits your mood. These are some photos that inspire me on my leather jacket wearing days.

Dinner at Stone Grill

I visited a lovely restaurant over the weekend for my boyfriend's dad's birthday. The Stone Grill was amazing. The atmosphere was so warm and cozy and the staff was very pleasant. You order your own meat and you get to cook it right in front of you on a lava stone. It was quite the experience! They also have unique choices such as bison, ostrich etc, great for the foodie who loves to try new things! If you're not a meat lover its also a wonderful place to stop in for a glass of wine.

I was watching Jeff Lewis' Flipping Out and was watching him eat some delicious looking shrimp tempura. It really had me craving for some Japanese food so my boyfriend and I went out to the local Sakura Island here in Waterloo. The service there is always spectacular and the food is quite comparable for what you'd find in Toronto.

I think I might be somewhat of a nomad at heart. I feel the itch to getaway and go somewhere new or different every so often. I get tired of the monotonous daily grind once in a while and whether its a weekend away, or a 3 week vacation, I need these little getaways to recharge and regroup.

Yesterday, I booked my flights for my upcoming trip to Europe and I am so unbelievably excited. I have been a couple times throughout high school but this time around it will be my boyfriend and I exploring the vineyards of Tuscany, the Uffizi in Florence, the beaches in the French Riveria and the Avenue des Champs-Elysees in Paris for nearly 4 whole weeks.

I cannot wait! Now, I just have to get through school for the next 4.5 months. Fingers crossed.

Spring is in the air!

So, I don't know if the weather that we have been having lately is just a teaser for what is around the corner, or, if it is really implying that (dare I say) Spring has arrived!

The second the hint of warm weather hit, I pushed and hid away all my winter gear (see you next year!) and I am starting to pull out all my Spring/Summer/Fall wear trying to put together looks for the Spring.

My mantra for this Spring/Summer is "simple simple simple"

One thing I am definitely on the hunt for is a 'statement' shoe. A pair of shoes that will go with nearly everything and really add an edge to an outfit a la the third/fourth photo. I am in love with the semi-sheer shirt dress in the last outfit.

A little breather

It was so wonderful to finally have a nice relaxing weekend after the intense study marathon that I have been enduring. Now I have a week to tackle a 30-page paper which is somewhat a final 'test' as an undergraduate student.

Saturday: We had dinner at Spring Rolls and then went to go see Avatar 3-D again before it left theatres. I love it just as much as I did the first time.

Drink: Strawberry Guava smoothie; Appetizer: Bangkok wings; Entrees: Lemongrass Chicken and Curry Chicken Pad Thai; Dessert: Mango Creme Brulee

Headed over to the theatre after dinner and waited for 2 hours before the movie started since the 6:30 show was SOLD OUT. How insane is that? Avatar is still selling out in theatres. So we entertained ourselves with some old school arcade games.

I've been looking for cute and practical ways to carry around my DSLR & lenses and I came across Epiphanie bags. Inside there are slots for you to store your camera body, lenses and even a flash. As I was towel-drying my hair tonight, the smiley faces that covered my joe boxers stared back at me. It made me wish that I could smile a silly smile like them.

I had an absolutely miserable day today as the stress of school, midterms, and papers weighed down on my shoulder. The fear of failure, the exhaustion, the lack of time, the missing motivation all seemed to feel particularly heavy.

And it makes me think.

All these emotions and this level of miserable-ness makes me think about a lot of things. It makes me think about my goals, my future, my purpose.

What seems like an eternity ago now, I studied Jane Jacob's Dark Age Ahead. I don't remember all that much about it, but one thing I do remember is her proclamation that the PURPOSE of our lives is our jobs.

That made me miserable.

A year later, I was listening to Regina Spektor on my ipod and her lyrics from jumped out at me: "Buy this car to drive to work, drive to work to pay for this car"

OY.

So, I wonder, what are people's purposes or goals in life? Success? Wealth? Family?

or... could it be... dare I utter, Happiness? (More on this another time - a little too philosophical for my mind to handle right now)

Today, I researched what the cost of living in Costa Rica was. (in a build a hut and fish for my meals kind of way) It was a little more expensive than I thought. But sometimes, I just want to get away from the craziness of it all. (As I type this, a heavy weight seems to rest on my heart...)

I feel as though its a sin to not include any pictures in a post. So I leave you with these (Funnily enough, the last image was titled "Simple living in Costa Rica"):

Morning-After edit: I don't mean to imply that I think Costa Rica is a land of happiness. I just wonder what a 'simpler' life would hold and sometimes, I just want to get away from my (moment of drama here) complicated life.

Since the first time I saw this bag on Alexa Chung, I have been absolutely heads over heels in love with it. Its the quintessential crossbody bag. Durable and classy. I love the leather on the bag, the overall design, the front clasps and the anonymity that is associated with the bag.

Mulberry is a UK brand that is famous for their quality leather but (well, in North America anyways) their understated classiness. I definitely hope to get my hands on this bag when it becomes more widely sold.

There are also leopard prints available in peony and oak etc. However, this bag is likely being added to their permanent collection due to the huge popularity. Apparently, Mulberry is releasing a black lambskin version in March. However, I adore the Oak simply because I think it has a bit of a vintage-y vibe.

I have been cooped up studying for midterms and just been under a crazy amount of stress. I do acknowledge the fact that I am a type of person to get stressed out very easily and its something that I need to start learning to deal with. One stress reliever that seems to work wonders is working out. Working up a good sweat really lets me relax a little bit. I think its because I tend to hold everything up inside until it feels like I'm about to burst (insert nervous breakdown here) and so I put all that aggression into a good work out.

I cannot wait for summer because honestly, my uniform when it comes to cold weather mixed with studying involves a cardigan/wrap/sweater + lululemons + warm socks + uggs. (yuck) But really, I can't be bothered because 1. I don't go anywhere other than campus and all the other students are in the same boat and 2. I am always cold so dressing like this is the only way I can keep warm.

My Nail Polish Collection

I have a fairly modest nail polish collection as I am not really one to venture out of my comfort zone when it comes to... well, nail polish.

Like most people, I tend to stick to certain colours depending on the season. I love Essie nail polish because the brush isn't too big and it gives you the perfect amount of control. If I have had too much coffee in a day, OPI is not the way to go for me because I end up with nail polish all over the sides of my nails.

I prefer lighter/paler colours in the spring and summer. (the last one is not a light colour I realize)

And I like darker shades in the fall/winter. OPI I Don't Know Jacques is one of my all time favourite colours.

And after making this post, I realize that I clearly have a tendency to lean towards the purply-black colours. I'd say that 80% of the time I prefer darker colours on my toes. (I really do not like the word 'toes' but I think it has something to do with the fact that I don't like feet in general)

As a guilty pleasure, I loved to watch The Rachel Zoe project. But, it was for one SOLE reason and that is: Taylor Jacobson.

This girl has such style, grace and ATTITUDE. I love everything about her because everything she says and does is so uniquely her. Not to mention, her style is impeccable. I adore everything that she wears. She can pair high-end designer fashion with American Apparel and still be able to pull it off with that air of je ne sais quoi. If I could pull off platinum blonde locks, I definitely would go for it.

I apologize for the lack of updates. I really have not been feeling very inspired as of late. My theory goes a little along the lines of this. I am a summer baby (born in June), thus, I hibernate during the winter time. Although the winter has been very mild so far, days seem bleak and grey and the lack of vibrant colours make me want to stay in bed, wrapped up in my warm duvet with my puppy and watching mindless tv shows on end. However, I am on my second last semester (I say second last as I am doing my CA designation and have to spend my summer doing summer school instead) and I am completely overwhelmed with schoolwork. Obviously, I am procrastinating.

I have managed to cross a few things off of my wish list though:

My sister got me these gorgeous Michael Kors shoes that I have been lusting over for forever.

Secondly, my wonderful, amazing, makes my world a thousand times better boyfriend got me the camera that I have been wanting for EVER. I am so unbelievably loved/blessed/lucky. I really have no words. I'm now deep into research for my next lens!

For our anniversary, we took a little weekend getaway to Niagara Falls. It was so relaxing to get away from all the pressures of school and such for even just a weekend. We were so lucky the weather was nice while we were there, but I think the picture still shows how barren the land is.

We did have a wonderful view from our room though...

Admittedly, there is light at the end of the tunnel. I am going away for reading week so at least that will inject a little sunshine into my life. Also, I have at 2 trips planned for August that I am really looking forward to.

I haven't really bought anything as of late due to severe budget constraints. However, I did pick this blush up - Gingerly by M.A.C. I was looking for a coral blush and I do like this blush a lot, but I don't know if its as 'coral' as I would like it to be. The swatch on the MAC website does NOT do the shade justice at all. I will do a swatch of it in my next post as I do not have it with me at the moment.

Nothing exciting has really been happening recently. Exams are fast approaching but it doesn't feel that way at all and I'm not feeling the usual exam pressure which, in my opinion, is BAD news. I've also been so distracted by many things, so for this post, I am going to do my first Ins and Outs a la lollipop26.

NIKON D90: I am lusting after this camera soo badly. I've contemplated selling my D40x for this but even with the proceeds from that, I really can't afford it at the moment. Especially with the holiday season fast approaching, I would definitely put getting my loved ones gifts ahead of my own needs. This camera isn't a massive step up from what I have now but I definitely think that I would be able to expand my horizons.

Oh. quick note, I am definitely always Nikon over Canon. Its most likely because my dad always shot with Nikon back in the film SLR days.

Gold Jewelry: All my life, I have always refused to wear gold jewelry, but in the past 6 months or so, I just can't get enough of it. Something about the gold just brings warmth to my outfit and adds a touch of je ne sais quoi to any outfit. I have loved this Jennifer Meyer necklace for so long but its really out of my price range at the moment, so for now, I can only admire it in photos.

Exams: I am so not in the mood to study for finals. I think being in my final year of school and having done summer school, I am just a little bit burnt out from studying. Honestly, all I want to be doing is relaxing on a sunny beach somewhere in the Caribbean and escape for a little while.

Christmas has long since been my favourite holiday. Every year, I look forward to it and I start counting down in June.

The question here is, why? Why is this overly commercialized holiday my favourite holiday of the year?

Every year, there are definitely things that I put on my ‘Christmas Wish-List’ and I hold on to hope that there is a chance that I get what I wished for. The gifts are amazing, without a doubt.

But no.

The gifts, as amazing as they may be, is not why Christmas is my favourite holiday.

It is the hope. The hope that everything, anything may and can be better. The hope and wish for (yes, I’m saying it) world peace.

Life is so short, and so incredibly precious that sometimes we need to remember and hold on to all the positive things in our life.

Christmas to me is a time for Christmas parties that bring everyone together. Family and friends, sisters and brothers, cousins and long-lost aunts and uncles. Its about having everyone come together and forgetting about all the problems that sometimes weigh down on our shoulders for just a moment.

It’s a time for bygones to be bygones and a time for fresh starts.

It has been a confusing time for me personally. I don’t know if it has to do with getting older and becoming more aware or if there’s has been more despair and hatred that I see in the world, especially with all the violent crimes that I’ve been hearing about happen in Toronto.

So every year, I wish and I hope and I pray, that this year may be better. That everyone will be happier. That there will be less hatred, less wars, less crimes.

And every year, I look forward to seeing the city decked out in all the lights and festivities. I look forward to hearing all the Christmas carols and attending Christmas events.

As cheesy as this may be, seeing the Starbucks and Tim Horton’s cup each year lifts up my heart just that little bit.

So my Christmas wish this year is to be with everyone that I love, especially my boyfriend who has made the last 2 years of my life so incredibly amazing, wonderful, joyous and instilled it with so much fun and laughter. And also, for everyone to be with the people that they love, for everyone to have a warm roof over their heads and hopefully a nice, warm cup of hot chocolate in their hands.

So, I've been sick all week and have been buried under a pile of schoolwork so I haven't really been inspired as of late. So, I think in this post I am going to post a couple of looks and key items that I have found really inspiring.

Blazers:

I love how a simple, nicely cut blazer can dress up a look so much and give it that extra edge.

Layering:

I love everything about this outfit. This layering is perfect for Canadian winters and shows how you can play with different proportions. Also, it looks so comfy! <3>

Cardigans and wraps:

If anyone knows me, they know my obsession with cardis and wraps. I absolutely love the geometric shape of this wrap and the sharp angles. Of course, her nightingale is a nice touch. :)

I have a lot more pictures from my inspiration folder that I am looking forward to sharing. I just want to figure out how I want to categorize them first.

On another note, I am so thankful for the people in my life, especially my boyfriend who has been so good with taking care of me while I've been sick in bed. He bought me the latest issue of Elle magazine and a Kinder bueno (my fav) for when I feel a bit better. He is truly the best friend/boyfriend/soulmate I could ever ask for. I'm still coughing up my lungs but I hope I will be feeling better in the next few days.

Also, just to show some progress (hopefully) with my autofocusing abilities with my (new-ish) 50mm f/1.8. I'm still absolutely in love with this lens and the picture quality. My little Noel has been a true troublemaker as of late. She is about 1 year and 2 months and I've heard that dogs between ages 1&2 are just real rascals because this is when they're going through their "teenage angst".

Oh, and to end off this post, a picture of my grumpy puppy after she was given a bath. :)

I really look for simplicity in everything. Makeup, fashion, photography - to me, simplicity is beautiful.

This is simple go-to everyday look for me. A baggy tank top, skinny jeans and flats.

Also, as winter is quickly approaching here in Toronto, I am finding myself very drawn to Emma Watson's Burberry campaign. I have never been a Burberry girl myself but seeing her latest ad campaign is suddenly making me want everything that she's wearing in her ads. Its inspiring to see how a simple trench coat and printed scarf can make for such a classy look.

Photography: I recently purchased a 50mm f/1.8 lens for my camera and here is a recent picture that I took that I loved. I can't autofocus with this lens on my camera because its the most basic model so I need to work on my autofocusing skills.

Lastly, I am currently lusting over these shoes, but I will probably end up getting something more 'practical' for the Canadian winter instead.

Current mood: listening to Iron & Wine, sipping a Mint Chocolate latte from Second Cup and studying for a midterm.

Resolutions

Its been a really long time since I've written a post but I'm new to this whole blogging thing so I've had a lot of things that I've wanted to blog about but I think this post is going to be resolutions/goals that I want to make. They're broken down by academic, social, etc. Before I start though, I've been really down lately due to a lot of things. First of all, I am a 4th year university student studying accounting. This means that the whole recruitment process has been going on for me and competition and tensions are running high. I personally haven't had as much accounting experience as some of my other friends. People are finding out about interviews and I've been getting a few rejections. Rejections hurt. Whether or not they're deserved. I wish I had the chance to prove myself to the recruiters and the companies because I know that I am just as good as the other candidates. I know I have the drive to succeed. If only I had the chance.

I'm really scared for what's coming in the future. I am a believer that everything happens for a reason, but its hard to see and understand what's to come. I'm sure in the future, when I look back, it'll seem as though everything made sense. Right now though, I'm just confused and I'm just constantly a bundle of emotions.

Onto other topics, I've been on a huge make-up spree as of late. There's still so much more that I want to get but I'm trying to be satisfied with what I have. I really want to get the sigma face brush set. The reason being, I don't wear too much face products and given the reviews, it seems as though the Sigma face brushes are of fantastic qualities. I think I am going to save up and get the MAC eye brushes though. I can't afford it at the moment though.

Other things that I have gotten somewhat recently: I got a black balenciaga for my birthday as I blogged about earlier. I also ended up getting a Maldives but I'm letting it go for an Anthracite instead and that should be arriving in about 2 weeks and I can't wait!

If anyone has ever read Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic series, they will know what I mean. I need to Make More Money. Becky, protagonist from the series, also had the option to CB (Cut Back), but like her, I can't really seem to. Actually I think I have quite a bit but I guess its just the sight of my slowly draining bank account that is really causing me to worry. I'm doing school this summer because I couldn't find a job and now my finances are rather stressing me out... I have another year of school left with no source of income, so I am on the hunt for a part-time job. But, working part-time this year is going to be tough because I NEED to succeed and ace all my courses this year. NO QUESTION.

Anyways, I don't really have anything new to report. I've been in my uni town all week and nothing exciting really ever goes on here. I did do a little bit of shopping earlier this week and I shall post some pics when I get a chance. I also picked up MAC's Tempting e/s and I quite like it.

So I had a great weekend at home but I definitely missed the bf as he was back at school. It was amazing to get to see my old friends again though!

On Friday:

I dropped by the MAC counter at the mall and picked up some goodies. Stopped by Sephora to look for Fiberwig mascara only to find out that they only have it in the states. =( I also realized that I have to find a good brush to use with the fluidline, so I don't think I'll be able to test it out until I get it. I Ran into an old friend that I used to work with at American Eagle and she was super super sweet and just the happiest person ever. She always manages to brighten up my day! <3>

I got my belated birthday present from my sister and she got me these super super cute Sue London flats that I have been coveting FOR-EVER. They are SO comfortable and soft and they're amazing. I am going to try to collect as many of these as I can! =)

I went to Spring Rolls for dinner with my best friend from high school and I've missed her so much! She just graduated from UCL in architecture and I am always in awe of her. Then I went to go watch HP6 for the 2nd time!! Yes, I know I can be a super big geek, but its the story that I grew up with! How could I not love it?? =)

On Saturday:

I went for lunch with my family and then my mom and I went shopping downtown. I had the biggest dilemma a while back. My bf got me this LV Totally in Damier Azure, and I thought the monogram would be more practical, so his mom went to go exchange it for me and in my hands I had the monogram. But, I realized that I was truly in love with the Damier Azure. Even if I may not always be able to use it in the Fall/Winter, I will adore it in the Spring/Summer. So, I had to go exchange it back and I absolutely love, love, love this bag. My parents hadn't gotten me a birthday present yet so my mom and I went into Holts, and I had no intention of buying anything there but I showed my mom the Balenciaga bags and I was just standing there lusting after them. My mom and I tried on the Day in Maldives which was gorgeous but the black city is what I've always, always wanted. Anyways, much to my surprise/shock/whatever, my mom bought be the black city!!! I felt soo incredibly guilty because it was just so expensive and extravagant and just unnecessary I suppose, but at the same time I can't help but love it to bits and pieces...

Later that night, I went for dinner with some old family friends and got to hang out with my lil pal who is going into 7th grade and I just can't, for the life of me, believe it. He was 2 years old when I first met him!! And then, I went to my friend's birthday bbq afterwards and it was just a great time. She has the MOST amazing house/backyard and she had a whole bar set up PLUS she also got a jumping gym or whatever they are called.

Anyways, that was pretty much my weekend. BF's family was babysitting my little puppy this weekend and I've missed her but I will get to pick her up later today! =)

So, I've been reading a lot blogs as of late and I don't have anything in particular that I would like to blog about so I think I am just going to write/blog/post at moments of inspirations. I've been in school this summer just taking some courses since I haven't been able to find a job, but I've gotten to spend a lot of time relaxing and hanging out and just slowing things down a little bit.

I've also gotten to spend a lot of time with my little puppy, Noël and thought she makes me absolutely insane sometimes, I love her to bits and pieces. She always manages to brighten up my day because she is just absolutely adorable. So, I suppose I will dedicate this first post to her.

I also spent a ridiculous amount of money at SDM today. I think it was the result of having been cooped up for so long writing papers and working on assignments, but as a result, I now have some new toys to play with! I have gotten hooked on makeup tutorials so I got some new things to play around with. Hopefully they turn out well!

I'm also going home this weekend and I'll get to spend time with some friends that I haven't seen in a long time. Its nice that after all these years of having graduated high school, we have still managed to stay close. The next few weeks will be busy: I'm going to my friend's cottage, I have finals for my courses and I'm currently trying to plan a vacation for the end of August, but as I have not been working this summer.....
